Laterality
In the field of behavior , laterality is the fact of preferentially using one side of the body rather than the other to perform certain tasks. For example, when it comes to the hands, we speak of manual preference : a right-handed person will preferentially use his right hand and, more generally, his right side (foot, etc.), while a left-handed person will preferentially use his left side.
Very early on, children demonstrate their preference without even thinking about it.
