When Cora founded YAKO, she had a bold dream: to create inclusive games for children.

Yako, a Franco-Montreal company, is committed to breaking down traditional barriers and embracing the diversity that characterizes our modern society.

Aware that traditional board games were often based on outdated stereotypes, Yako wishes to reflect current reality; so that every child can finally recognize themselves in the games, whatever their skin color, family or gender.

In creating his first game, Today's 7 Families Game, Yako wanted to represent multicultural families, homoparental families, families with disabled members, and many more. Each card was a story in itself, an ode to the diversity of families and the beauty of their differences.
