Dickie Toys
In 1971, Wolfgang Sauerborn founded the toy company Sauerborn & Stübinger.
In 1984 the company changed its name to Dickie Spielzeug (in Germany) and Dickie Toys (internationally).
Sauerborn died tragically in 1993 at the age of 49 when his Learjet crashed at Cologne airport. In October, Simba Toys takes over the company.
The company reached its peak when it signed a contract in 1995 with Michael Schumacher, the future holder of multiple Formula 1 records.
Finally, in 2011, Dickie Toys received exclusive rights to RC licenses for the "Cars" series from Disney Pixars studios and soon after exceeded one million copies sold for the "Lightning MC Queen (1:24)" model.
