Meccano
Meccano, one of the oldest building systems in the world, began in 1898, when Frank Hornby invented it in England.
Meccano is a construction game based on metal parts perforated with holes at regular intervals which are assembled using screws and nuts, the purpose of which is an introduction to mechanics.
The first Meccano factory opened in France in Paris Belleville in 1921. A larger factory would open in Calais in 1959.
After more than 120 years of history, Meccano's values and goals remain the same: to inspire builders around the world and bring their imaginations to life.
The adventure has only just begun with Meccano!
