Objectives of the exercises:

A phoneme is a sound and a grapheme is a letter or a combination of letters used to write a sound. For example: o , au and eau are three graphemes of the sound [ o ].

This set is part of the Je lis les sons series, where the child appropriates the phoneme-grapheme and grapheme-phoneme correspondence thanks to simple, frequent and known words.
It presents 26 graphemes, made up of one or more letters.

The child will develop:

  • his ability to separate words into sounds (phonemic analysis)
  • his knowledge of letter sounds
(alphabetical processing, phoneme-grapheme and grapheme-phoneme link)
  • its usual spelling for simple and frequent words
